Château Du Busca Ténarèze Armagnac Hors D'age 15 Years: The solid brown/topaz/sorrel color bewitches the eye; ideal clarity. The wonderfully zesty aroma is spiced with nutmeg, black pepper, lemon, and thyme in the opening two minutes; later inhalations following aeration highlight tightly wound notes of margarine, lanolin, dark caramel, buttery oak, and holiday fruitcake. The ,palate entry is rich, creamy, and honeyed; at midpalate there's a strong sense of older spirit in the overall woody/creamy flavor that smacks of rancio beginnings. Finishes semisweet, cocoa- and maple sugar-like, and intensely oaky. A musketeer's mouthful of robust, mature, and, most pleasing of all, gentlemanly brandy. Score - 5 Stars (out of 5). (F. Paul Pacult, Kindred Spirits 2, 2008) |

Damblat Armagnac 1971: Armagnac is considered to be oldest spirit produced in France, dating back some seven hundred years. Damblat crafts theirs in a traditional style. Complex and sophisticated, this is a contemplative libation for the spirit connoisseur. An ideal gift to mark a 40-year milestone. |

Domaine De Papolle Blanche D'armagnac: TASTING NOTE: A fascinating clear Armagnac (bottled straight out of the still, with no wood-ageing involved) featuring aromas of melon, apricot, maple sap, and floral. Dry, with energetic fruit tones coming to the fore on the mid-palate. A fine sipper, or enjoy it drizzled over a fresh fruit salad. (VINTAGES panel, Dec. 2010) |
